Winter 2010
A belated welcome back from the holiday break!
We have decided to move to a quarterly newsletter to give everyone less paper to keep track of.
We are having a wonderful school year so far, and as always, the children have taken us in directions we did not anticipate. This is an active group! We have found that they learn best when given ample opportunities for movement and ways in which to demonstrate their strength and power.
We have had learning materials which gave them ways to be strong and use their muscles, including hammering nails, squeezing giant sponges, designated indoor places to run and jump and have super hero play. We guided the children from big and fast power play into more controlled shows of strength with free weights, an indoor trampoline, and even some yoga. We practice deep breathing (ask your child how to breathe like an elephant!) and stretching in gathering as well. The result is that the children are really getting in touch with their bodies and the many ways of being strong and powerful. In the midst of this, there was an explosion in interest in letters and writing. Pencils, pens, dry erase markers and even blocks and sand were used to make letters and write words. The spark of the first few children was contagious and soon everyone was studying the letters in their name and working on writing. It was an exciting time for everyone!
During “Super Hero City” and yoga and weight lifting, the cars and trucks and babies were put away and now we are ready to bring them back and try out being heroic and powerful in a different way. In dramatic play we have created a doctors office for our dolls and in the block area we have out a great variety of vehicles for construction as well as police cares, fire trucks and ambulances. It will be interesting to watch how this group uses these materials.
Both our preschool and kinder programs are at full capacity and each have several children on the waiting list. While we are always happy to be fully enrolled, it does unfortunately mean that we have quite a bit less flexibility for schedule changes for currently enrolled kids. Coordinating over 40 children’s schedules with the arrivals and departures of teachers to ensure that, we are not exceeding our state mandated adult/child ratios can be quite challenging!
As a general rule, we will not be able to accommodate schedule changes, particularly if it is a same day request. If you need to request a change, such as an extra hour on a scheduled day or an early arrival, please do so in writing with at least 24 hours notice. The yellow half sheet “Schedule Change Request” for has been restocked and is on top of the cubbies. We will make every effort to accommodate you but please understand that it is most likely that we will be unable to have your child beyond her/his scheduled time. This week you will find a copy of your child’s schedule in their cubby. This is what we understand to be the drop off and pick up times. If there are any errors, please let us know. Again, we appreciate your understanding!
A special thank you to Melissa, who has taken over the cooking and shopping duties. Melissa has taken morning and afternoon snacks to a new level with a great variety of healthy, hearty, homemade foods. The kids are very happy to see me out of the kitchen at snack time and are getting to try all kinds of new foods with Melissa.
Analisa and the kinders are in the midst of the intensive 3 week Circus Arts Program. This program brings in performance artist Jill Fjeldheim to work with the kinders on circus arts and clowning.
They will be sharing what they learned on Friday night, February 5th at the Talent Friends Church. Watch for a flyer. Funds from our Arts Fundraiser allow us to provide this unique opportunity for our kinders. Thank you again to all that contributed to that effort!
Stay warm and stay well!
Lauren
Happy, Happy Fall!
Our fundraiser was a huge success! We made around $2000 which will fund our Circus Arts program for kinders, weekly music for preschoolers as well as many great art materials for everyone. Thanks so much to everyone who helped with donations, food, pick up, set up, clean up, as well as attending and bringing people to the event. We could not have done it without you! Thanks you especially to Jared and Carolyn (Julian and Adrian’s mom and dad) and everyone else at Noble Coffee for hosting the event for us! You are awesome!
We have all been enjoyed the change of season. Autumn is definitely a feast for the senses. We have been telling spooky Halloween stories, singing about pumpkins and apples and rain, collecting leaves and tasting all kinds of fall foods. Spaghetti squash was a surprising hit. We have also been eating homemade applesauce, fresh baked bread and pumpkin bread, sampling different kinds of nuts and apples. The children have been using beautiful fall colors in their art as well. Be sure to check out our inside tree with beautiful hand painted leaves. During the next few weeks we will be talking about Thanksgiving, families and feasts. We are grinding spices and continuing to cook with Melissa. Favorite books have been Leaf Man, The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything, RedLeaf, Yellow Leaf, Stone Soup and Pumpkin Soup.
During Thanksgiving week we will be doing lots of special cooking and art activities. We will be closing at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 25th and will be closed Thursday the 26th and Friday the 27th. We will be back bright and early on Monday morning to start talking about and preparing for all of the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the rest of the winter holidays.
We are so grateful to all of you for helping us to make Butterfly House a wonderful place to be a child (and a teacher!)
Happy Thanksgiving!
Lauren, Melissa and Analisa
Ps… Even with damp and chilly weather, we really want kids to have some good outside play time each day. We are out for 20-30 minutes at a time. Please be sure to send them in toasty jackets and with hat and mittens if necessary. If possible, please label everything! Even with our exceptional abilities, it is difficult to keep track of 30 hats and 60 plus mittens each day.
Our “big kids” are back in school and now we begin transitioning back into our school year schedules and routines. We will be spending time getting to know new friends and getting reacquainted with old ones. In Gathering, we have a number of name games and songs to sing and play as well as stories related to starting school and making friends. The focus of our Gathering time is communication and community building. We use it as a time to talk and listen to one another, discuss the events of the morning, and share experiences and ideas.
We are so happy to have Melissa back with us! This year, Melissa will be doing a lot of cooking with kids. Watch the snack menu for what she and the kids will be making each week. Preparing food together provides wonderful opportunities for relationship building as well as sensory exploration and another way to experience the changing seasons. This fall our snacks and cooking experiences will incorporate corn, apples, pumpkins, tomatoes, squash and pears. Let us know if you have any favorite recipes you would like to share!
Save the date!
Our 4th annual “Celebration of the Arts at Butterfly House” fundraiser will be happening on Saturday October 17th. This year the event will be hosted by our good friends at Noble Coffee Roasters in Ashland. Stay tuned for more details.
A few more bits of info…
*We will be checking kid’s boxes for extra clothes this week. Watch for a note in your child’s cubby if they need clothes.
We are excited about all we will learn and experience with your children this year. Thanks for sharing them with us!!

Butterfly House June News
It’s hard to believe that our school year is nearly over!
What a wonderful year it was…… we saw such growth in the children, friendships form, skills mastered and curiosity, passion and wonder fueling everything they did. It has been such fun to be alongside as they fall in love with the world and each other.
Happy Birthday to us!!!
On June 1st Butterfly House is 5 years old!
Please join us in celebrating our birthday on Saturday June 6th at 11:30.
(You should have received an invitation in your child’s cubby. Let me know if you didn’t.)
This will be a great day to celebrate and reminisce with old friends and new. As is our tradition, we will be planting flowers, herbs and veggies in our gardens at the party. We would love it if you would like to contribute something to plant. Fresh herbs are a favorite, especially mint, as are any flowers that enjoy being trampled, picked and over-watered.
Now that we are into warmer weather there will be even more sand and water play than usual. Please feel free to send your child in or with a bathing suit and a towel. It is also really helpful if you apply sunscreen before bringing your child to school. We will reapply as needed. You might also check your child’s extra clothes box to see if you need to exchange cold weather clothes for warm weather clothes.
Summer will be bringing a few temporary changes to our staff. Since our summer enrollment is unusually low, Melissa and I will be taking the summer off. Analisa will be holding the fort with her usual skill and good humor. We will have a practicum student, Kaylee, from RCC working with us as well. I will work one day a week and will be in and out at other times as well. Analisa acts as Director in my absence, so please feel free to discuss any needs or concerns with her.
To get ready for our shift to summer program, we will be closed for maintenance on :
Thursday June 11th and Friday June 12th.
We will also be closed on July 4th.
Thank you for another great year!
Lauren
Butterfly House Spring 2009 News
Welcome to new friends Violet, Asa and Konnor!
These are busy days for everyone at Butterfly House! On the inside, we are continuing our discussions about being kind and peaceful. (Ask your kids to teach you the signs for kind and peaceful.) This group of children is highly verbal, extremely social and very emotional. This is combination of attributes lends itself to rich and imaginative play, intense friendships and lengthy conversations. It also presents challenges during times of conflict. (Sometimes we are not sure if we are observing preschoolers or watching a performance of Macbeth…) We have been doing a lot of coaching with the children on what to say and do when having challenges with friends. We are also talking about resolving differences peacefully. We asked the children what “peaceful” meant and Nathan had a great response. He said “Peaceful is like doing it quiet.” We spend a few moments in gathering each day talking about how the morning went and what was kind, what was peaceful. We are recording bits of these discussions on the wall in the gathering room. Make sure to take a look! We are also writing down our ideas of what to say when we want to talk to a friend in a kind or peaceful way. We are amazed at the social awareness that is developing and the children’s ability to understand these somewhat abstract concepts.
On the outside, the weather has allowed us to have some great sand and water play. We are also watching flowers beginning to bloom, trees leafing and the emergence of caterpillars, ladybugs and worms. Be prepared for some “pet” worms and roly poly’s to be coming home! Please keep your child stocked with extra clothes!
On May 11th and 12th, we will be doing our annual bike-a-thon for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We do this fundraiser in honor of our little hero, Pete whose life was saved by the treatment he received at St. Jude’s three years ago. Attached is a letter from Kellei Martin, Pete’s mom, telling his story. Please join us in supporting the work of St. Jude’. The kids will ride laps on their bikes, trikes, scooters (or feet) around our yard. During the week prior, we will be talking about bike safety. Children are welcome to bring their own bikes or scooters and helmets or can use ours.
This week you will find a form in your child’s cubby regarding your summer plans. Please complete this ASAP and return it to us. It is very helpful in planning our summer hours, staff and activities.
Some thank yous to our wonderful parents……. Marcos (papa of Lola and Saraya) for donating a beautiful tree and our new stone path …….. Brent (papa of Eli and Silas) for many hours of work over Spring Break and keeping our pump operating ……. Jennifer (mama of Eli and Silas) for taking care of our legal matters …….. Kim (mama of Cameron) for helping paint over Spring Break ……. Suzy for volunteering to do some sewing projects for us ….. Ryan and Amanda (mama and papa of Josephine) for the hours they will spend beautifying our yard this month ……. Jennifer (mama of Jaden and Addie) for scavenging all kinds of wonderful materials from her workplace ………Cat (mama of Audrey) for maintaining our website …… Kellei (mama of Pete) for talking to the kids about St. Jude’s ……… and to all of our parents for sharing your great kiddos with us! Happy Spring! Lauren, Analisa and Melissa
Butterfly House February 2009 News
“Every artist dips a brush into their soul and paints their own mature into their pictures.” Albert Einstein
It has been fascinating to watch the children working in the new art studio this month. When the studio was first opened to them, we had no idea what they might do or how they might use the space or the materials. We have found that in the studio, the children use familiar materials in new ways, that they talk more about their work, work more independently and thoughtfully and value their finished projects far more than they used to. (This is probably evident in the amount of art coming home!) The studio and the children’s work in it has far exceeded our expectations! Read on…
Our motivation for creating the studio was not simply to give the children more room and materials to create with. We believe that art is a very powerful way to communicate. We wanted to create a space where they had the opportunity to make their thoughts and ideas and feelings visible. Our studio space is modeled after the ateliers or studios that are a core component of the preschools of Reggio Emilia in Italy. The Reggio programs are frequently referred to as the best early childhood programs in the world. The book In the Spirit of the Studio: Learning from the Atelier pf Reggio Emilia was a resource for us as we planned our studio space. They describe their studios in this way: “Our atelier is made up of many elements that each holds a unique identity, purpose and possibility. It is a symphony of individual parts balanced to create a whole that is diverse and stimulating but also amiable and harmonious; a multi-sensorial place that invites interactions by engaging mind, hands, imagination and senses. We believe that these elements of the environment give dignity and respect to children’s experiences and play a crucial role in their education.” The studio offers children a beautiful and stimulating place to work as well as a space that challenges their abilities as well as their ideas. We now have space to work alongside children and listen as they describe their drawings, their creations, their painted pictures. This has given us a great deal of insight into their development and thought processes which in turn helps us to provide the most meaningful and interesting materials and experiences for them. For example, we observed that many of the children were doing various projects with cutting and gluing paper. In response to this observation, we read a book about Henri Matisse, whose art was comprised largely of paper collage. We also looked at a beautiful pop up book that had interesting and colorful paper sculptures in it. Without any further instruction from us, we saw that the children collages began to be done even more thoughtfully and some interesting 3-D projects began to emerge. We will continue this process, of showing the work of different artists as well as the children’s own creations and building them.
Now that the children have had some time to get used to the physical space and explore the materials, we are ready to take the next step with them. We will begin offering a little more direction, giving them some ideas of how materials might be combined and how to use some different tools. We will also begin working on a large group project. We would love to have some parent volunteers in the studio! We want to continue to document their artistic journey by capturing their words as well as photographs of them working. It also keeps us hopping keeping everyone supplied with paper and paint and glue and all the materials they need to bring their visions to life. Please let us know if you would be interested in joining us in this wonderful space!
In addition to creating the studio, we have again had the opportunity to hire two local artists to do a “residency” with us. Jill Fjeldheim, a performance artist has been working with our kinders for the past month teaching circus arts. Our kinders have learned to balance, juggle, mime and clown! Please join us for our 3rd annual Circus Arts Performance this Friday night! (see attached flyer for details). Prepare to be amazed! In the preschool, we will be working with music teacher Janet Chose. Janet will be doing music and movement experiences with the children during January and February. This is always great fun for the children and we are so happy to have Janet joining us again this year.
We are very proud of the unique arts experiences that we offer children at Butterfly House. Thanks to each of you for the ways in which you support our program and our work with your children. It is a great privilege.

Happy New Year!
We hope each of you had some special time with your families during the holidays. We are anxious to reconnect with the children and hear about all of their adventures during the break. We are also excited to welcome them back to school and share with them some big changes to the environment.
Much of our time during the break was spent preparing the new Art Studio. We are very happy with how this new space came together and are anxious to spend some time with children there. We are very curious to see how their work changes as a result of being in this new space. The studio has defined areas for drawing, clay, construction and collage, and painting. We also have an art library as well as some materials like the light table, parquetry boards and puzzles that allow children to explore colors, shapes and designs. One advantage of the studio is that children will have access to a greater variety of materials than they did previously since we have a great deal more space. Children will also have places to save their projects if they wish to work on something for several days. We will keep you posted about how this space evolves with newsletters and photos. Also, please feel free to join us anytime to create with your child!
Thank you again to everyone who participated in any way to our Arts Program fundraiser which made this wonderful new space a reality! Thanks so much also to Brent Warner, Eli and Silas’ dad for helping us during the break.
A couple small issues came up before the break that we wish to address. We have found that many children are bringing toys from home to school this year. Generally this is not a problem and we are happy to have children bring their special things to play with and to share. However, with this particular group of children the toys coming from home seem to be detracting from rather than contributing to their time at school. Items from home often seem to be at the center of conflicts and hurt feelings. Children also seem to have difficulty keeping track of their special treasures which leads to tears and frantic searches at the end of their school day. It is not any particular item or child that is a problem. Rather, it is just the ages, temperament and dynamic of this group of children. With that in mind, we would like to ask that children not bring items from home for the time being. In a few months, we can reevaluate and see if it will work to have toys from home back at school. In all likelihood, after a bit of time has passed, it will be fine.
We would also like to check in about how our lunch times have been going. During the first part of the year, we were finding that our meal time was not as relaxed as we wanted it to be. (Picture 14 children with 2 or 3 containers each that they can’t open, milk spills, heat ups, and calls of “can I have my cookie yet?”…..) After spending some time observing and discussing our mealtimes, we made some adjustments that have made it a much more pleasant time:
First, prior to the children coming in, we unpack each lunch, open bags and microwave anything that needs heating. We lower the lights and play soft music and generally try to create an atmosphere that resembles fine dining more than stampede at Home Town Buffet after a long period of fasting…… We were pleased to see that this had an immediate positive impact on the mealtime for everyone. We found that the only thing that was still a bit of an issue was the constant negotiating with the children over how much of their “good food” they had to eat before they got their “treat”. The more we have talked about it, of course, the more of an issue it turned into. (By the time I got done negotiating with one child how much of her soup she had to eat before she could eat her gingerbread man, I felt ready to mediate peace in the Middle East…) We have decided to deal with this by telling children to check their lunch and see what looks best to have first. You can help us by not packing anything in your child’s lunch that you do not want her/him to eat first. This will take the importance off of the treat if there is one and let it just be part of the lunch.
We are looking forward to a great month with the children. Please know that you are always welcome and encouraged to join us whenever you would like to, for gathering or a meal or snack or time in the studio or walk to the library.
Butterfly House is “a wonderful place to be a child” and it is pretty fun for grown-ups too! Happy 2009!

Butterfly House December 2008 News
We hope each of you had a happy Thanksgiving, lots of great food and time to spend with your families and friends. We had a sweet time with kids in the days leading up to the holiday. Talking about our families and preparing our own memorable feast. (For our Tuesday and Thursday friends, your feast day is coming soon!)
Our fundraiser was a great success! Thanks to each of you who helped us with donations, brought a book for the book basket, helped with set up, clean up, advertising and attended the event! We raised enough money to get a good start on the studio. Watch for the unveiling when we return from Winter Break.
Speaking of Winter Break… we will be closed from Monday December 22nd through Friday January 2nd. We will reopen the following Monday. (For those of you new to us this year, you will notice that your December bill is the same as your previous invoices. We do not bill you for the closure, but rather than refigure each bill in December, we factor those days into your invoice the rest of the year. Chat with Lauren if you have any questions.)
And speaking of winter….. it’s cold outside! Please dress your child warmly for outside play. We are outside between 30 and 45 minutes each day. Please send your child with mittens, hat and a warm coat so their outside time can be comfortable.
Schedule Changes:
We have had a lot of schedule changes this year! Life being how it is, we understand the need to occasionally adjust your child’s schedule or add a random hour here or there once in awhile. We are very happy to accommodate these changes when we can. This year, we have had more need for schedule modifications than usual which has presented some challenges for us in our planning and staffing, particularly now that the kinder room is not in use. Rather than requesting schedule changes verbally and relying on my 40-something brain to remember, we are asking that schedule changes be made in writing. Permanent changes will need to be requested prior to the beginning of the following month. Periodic additions, like staying an hour late or coming an additional day one time only will need to be requested at least 48 hours in advance. Unless it is an emergency, we ask that you complete the form rather than asking verbally or leaving a message on the answering machine. This will ensure that we have your child’s name on our class list for that day and that we are able to maintain our teacher/child ratios. We also ask that you be certain of your plans prior to requesting additional hours. Planning for additional children and having them not come at the last minute has created some unnecessary scheduling difficulties for us. We hope this does not cause any inconvenience for you and we appreciate your understanding.
The winter holidays are coming up and it is a fun and festive time at Butterfly House. We will be doing some baking and special art activities, including making gifts for our families. We will also be talking about our families and how we celebrate the holidays as well as how kids in other countries celebrate. If you would like to share any special traditions or stories or foods with the children please let us know! We would be delighted!
Your children continue to delight and inspire us. Thank you for all of the happy hours we have been privileged to spend with them this year!
Lauren, Analisa and Melissa
MARK YOUR CALENDARS
Our third annual “Toast to the Arts” will be held at Paschal Winery on November 15th. This event is a great parent’s night out with great food, wine and an awesome silent auction.
The change of season is always exciting!
New smells and tastes and textures are all around us and the children are noticing and exploring all of it. Outside we are discovering that our summer flowers are dying, leaves are falling, and it is cold in the morning and not so cold after lunch. Inside we have added gourds and pumpkins to our play and have been painting with the warm colors of fall – reds, oranges and yellows. Soon we will be taking some walking field trips around the neighborhood to see what is changing.
Colds and flu hit us early and hard this year! We try very hard to keep Butterfly House clean and germ free by encouraging frequent hand washing, sanitizing toys regularly and encouraging kids to visit the “Nose Wiping Stations” as needed. You can help by having your child wash his/her hands when they arrive in the morning.
Check our Parent Handbook if you are unsure about when to keep your child home from school.
Our days are active, busy and emotional. After several weeks of observing the dynamics of our group, we determined that a modification of our environment was needed. We had places for large and small group and partner play and some spaces where solo play was happening, but what was missing was a space designated for solitude. Sometimes kids need a place to cool off, regroup, and relax, so we created The Private Place. This is a cozy nook in the back room where children can go when they would like to have some time alone. Kids can sit on a pile of pillows, look at books, watch the fish, cuddle a stuffed animal or manipulate the various small objects we rotate in and out. With this space we have several goals. First, we are encouraging kids to recognize their own physical and emotional state and know when they need a break or some space.. This space is a great choice when a child feels upset after a conflict with a friend or when the noise and activity level is rising beyond a child’s comfort level. Sometimes kids, like adults, just want to be alone. In addition to recognizing their own need for privacy, the children are learning how to respect the privacy of each other. When a child goes into the Private Place, they turn the sign from “open” to “privacy please”. This signals everyone that the space is being used and is closed to anyone else going in. The children take this rule very seriously and have been very protective of the space. We have been talking in Gathering about what privacy means. Ami said “Like when you want to go potty.” Nathan said “When you don’t want anyone by you.” We have also been talking about how our emotions feel in our bodies, learning signs for feelings and how to talk about them with friends. As if often the case, this was not part of our planned curriculum, but arose out of our observations and interactions with the children. This is a very emotional group! Their happiness and excitement is BIG as is their frustration and anger. Rather than trying to keep everyone at a quiet level of contentment, we wish to help children learn to recognize and manage their big feelings. Books, sign language, acting out scenarios with dolls in Gathering, creating spaces for privacy and talking about what is happening in an honest way are some of the tools we use to this end.
Several books have been especially popular –
Bear Feels Sick and Bear Feels Scared by Karma Wilson,
Saying Goodbye to Lulu by Corrine Demas and
Big Words for Little People by Jamie Lee Curtis have been great for talking about feelings, empathy, and grief.
Another October event for kids is Halloween. Since it is such an exciting day and night for kids, we keep it deliberately low key at school. Our focus is on the elements of drama, dress up and fantasy. We will have some fun dress up out as well as all of our castle things. Since it is already such a full day for kids, we do not have any kind of Halloween party at school. We will have a special snack and kids are welcome to wear their costumes if they wish. (Just remember that we will be painting, playing outside, etc.)
Stay tuned for more details. Your children continue to delight and surprise us!
Happy Autumn! Lauren, Melissa and Analisa
Welcome old friends and new!!! After a wonderful, relaxed, play-full summer, we are excited to begin our fall program. We are happy to greet new friends and returning friends as well as our new teacher, Melissa. We are starting our school year together with materials and experiences related to colors and shapes. Rather than teaching the children to recite the colors and shapes by rote, (which makes the children passive learners) we sit along side and explore with them. We share their excitement when they realize that two colors mixed together makes a third color, and that a square has 4 sides and a hexagon has 5 and a round peg does not fit into a triangular hole. With this approach, the children are active learners in which the concepts they are working with are meaningful and relevant to them. Making discoveries on their own is a lot more fun for them!
In Gathering for most of September, we will be focusing on learning each other’s names, as well as sitting, talking and listening to each other. We start with a relatively short amount of time, and increase it gradually over the course of the year. There is a lot to see and do, and the children are sometimes impatient to get back to their play! Keeping it brief will allow them to participate successfully, as well as find out about the events of the day. In addition to learning names, we are learning a few signs each week. This month we will be learning the signs for friend, butterfly, rainbow, various colors, eat and play. The children will have quite a repertoire of signs by the end of the year!
During our maintenance days we cleaned and relabeled our extra clothes boxes. Many of the boxes are empty, so it may be time to check your child’s box and bring another set of clothes to school. The boxes are kept behind the shower curtain in the front bathroom. If your child is a rester, it would be great if you could bring a small blanket that can be kept at school for rest time.
Better late than never….. Butterfly House now has a web site! A gigantic thank you to Cat, Audrey’s mom for setting this up for us. Check it out butterflyhousepreschooltalent.com. We are still finishing it up, so if you have any ideas let us know. We will be posting photos on the site, so if you have any concerns about your child’s photo being part of our website, please let us know.
Another big thank you is due to Brent, Eli and Silas’ dad for giving us so much help during our maintenance days. Brent repaired and repainted the boat as well as took care of a bunch of other “fix-it” projects. Thanks Brent!
Each September we ask that new enrollment forms be completed for each child. Please complete the forms in your child’s folder and return them to us as soon as possible. We have also included a new Parent Handbook for your review. We have changed a few of our policies and procedures, so please look it over even if you have been with us for awhile. We have also included a few articles we thought you might enjoy as well as a magnet that can be used either on your fridge or as a bumper “sticker”.
SAVE THIS DATE! On Saturday, September 13th, we will be joining the Friends of the Talent Library to walk in the Talent Harvest Festival Parade. This was great fun last year and we are excited to be participating again. We will send a flyer home early next week with all of the specifics.
Thanks to all of you for your contributions to our snacks, your on-time payments and pick ups, keeping your kids supplied with yummy lunches and extra clothes, and for sharing your wonderful children with us!
Happy New School Year!
